Nexlane ("we", "our", "us") operates the Nexlane mobile application and website (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App. By using Nexlane, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
Name, email, phone number — when you sign up via Google Sign-In or email.
Profile photo — if you upload one.
Business details — business name, address, description, category (for business accounts).
Location Data
Approximate and precise location — to show nearby businesses and services.
When you grant location permission the device may provide precise (GPS) coordinates, which we
use only to calculate distances and to pick the nearest city for your search. We store the
resulting city / pincode, not a continuous location history.
We only access location when the app is in use and with your permission. You can skip the
prompt and browse the default city instead.
Microphone
Voice search audio — only while you hold the microphone button, and only if you grant the permission. Speech is converted to text on your device; we store only the resulting search query, exactly as if you had typed it. Deny the permission and typed search still works.
Device Information
Device model, OS version, app version, and Firebase installation ID (for push notifications).
Usage Data
App interactions, crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics), and analytics (via Firebase Analytics).
3. How We Use Your Data

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers (Firebase, Supabase) who process data on our behalf
- Law enforcement if required by law
6. Data Retention
- Account data: kept until you delete your account
- Profile images: deleted when you remove them or delete your account
- Analytics data: anonymized after 26 months
7. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You can at any time:
- Access & correct your profile data in the app.
- Delete your account — see nexlane.in/delete-account, or email nexlane.support@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Nexlane account”. We will delete your Firestore user document, listings, and Supabase profile images within 30 days and confirm by email.
- Withdraw consent for location or microphone in your device Settings; the app continues to work with city = Noida by default.
- Opt out of notifications in device Settings > Apps > Nexlane > Notifications.
8. Security
All data transmitted over HTTPS. Firebase Auth handles authentication securely. Images are stored in Supabase with public access — we recommend not uploading sensitive or private images to profile galleries.
9. Children’s Privacy
Nexlane is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at nexlane.support@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. For material changes we will also notify you in the app or by email. You are advised to review this page periodically.
